Creditily (“we,” “us,” “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our software platform at getcreditily.com.

1. Information We Collect

  • Mobile phone number (for SMS notifications, if you opt in)
  • Payment information (processed securely by our third-party payment processor)

Credit Information:

  • Credit report data imported from third-party credit monitoring services

  • Photo ID and proof of address documents you upload (for Premium members using done-for-you service)

  • Date and time of your visits

Communications:

  • Emails, support tickets, and feedback you send us
  • Survey responses and testimonials (if you provide them)

2. How We Collect Information

We collect information:

  • Directly from you when you create an account, upload documents, or contact us

  • From third-party credit monitoring services you connect to Creditily (such as SmartCredit)
  • Through forms, surveys, and opt-in consent mechanisms

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve Creditily
  • Process your subscription payments
  • Generate dispute letters and track your credit repair progress
  • Send you important updates about your account and our services
  • Send SMS notifications (only if you opt in)
  • Respond to your questions and support requests
  • Analyze usage patterns to improve our software
  • Provide coaching and community access (for Premium members)
  • Facilitate optional done-for-you credit repair services (for Premium members who enroll)
  • Comply with legal obligations

4. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal information in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including:

  • Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA): We protect the confidentiality and security of consumer financial information as required by federal law.
  • Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA): When accessing credit reports or sharing information with credit bureaus, we obtain proper consent and follow FCRA regulations.
  • Federal Trade Commission Act (FTC Act): We adhere to fair business practices and consumer privacy standards.
  • California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA): For California residents, you have specific rights regarding your personal information (see Section 10).
  • General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR): If you are in the European Economic Area, we process your personal information based on contractual necessity, legitimate interests, legal obligations, and consent.

5. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number with third parties for marketing purposes. We share your information only in these limited circumstances:

Service Providers: We share information with third-party service providers who help us operate Creditily, including payment processors, cloud hosting providers, credit monitoring services (SmartCredit), email service providers, SMS messaging providers, and customer support platforms. All service providers are contractually required to protect your information and use it only for the purposes we specify.

Affiliate Partners: We may share your information with affiliate partners in our financial services marketplace (including SuperMoney) when you click on their offers or apply for their products. When you interact with an affiliate partner, you may be directed to their platform where their privacy policy applies.

Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process.

Business Transfers: If Creditily is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred. We will notify you of any such change.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:

  • Encryption of data in transit using SSL/TLS protocols
  • Encryption of data at rest on secure servers
  • Role-based access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel only
  • Regular security audits, monitoring, and risk assessments
  • Multi-factor authentication for administrative access
  • Automated backup and disaster recovery systems

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6A. SMS and Mobile Communications

We collect SMS consent directly from users through our website forms and opt-in mechanisms where you voluntarily provide your mobile phone number and explicitly opt in to receive text messages.

By opting in, you consent to receive text messages from Creditily related to account notifications, dispute status updates, service updates, educational content, and customer support communications.

Opt-Out Instructions: Text STOP to any message to unsubscribe, or text HELP for assistance. You can also manage SMS preferences in your account settings.

Important: SMS consent is not a condition of purchase. You can use Creditily without opting in to SMS communications.

6B. Mobile Information Sharing Statement

Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent data collected by Creditily are NOT shared, sold, rented, or disclosed to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We may share mobile phone numbers only with trusted service providers who assist in delivering our SMS messaging services, and only to the extent necessary to provide those services.

7. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. If you cancel your account, general account data will be deleted or anonymized within 60 days. Credit report data and dispute letters will be deleted within 30 days of account cancellation, or immediately upon request.

You can request immediate deletion of your credit data at any time by emailing support@getcreditily.comwith “DELETE CREDIT DATA” in the subject line.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Access and Correction: You can access and update your account information at any time through your account settings.

Data Portability: You can request a copy of your personal information in a machine-readable format (CSV or JSON).

Deletion: You can request deletion of your account and personal information by emailing support@getcreditily.comwith “DELETE ACCOUNT” in the subject line. We will delete your information within 30 days.

SMS Opt-Out: Text STOP to any SMS message to unsubscribe from text communications, or manage preferences in your account settings.

Marketing Opt-Out:You can unsubscribe from marketing emails by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in any email or by contacting us.

9. Third-Party Credit Monitoring Authorization

When you link your SmartCredit account to Creditily, you authorize Creditily to store your credit report and score information, store your SmartCredit account credentials in encrypted form, and automatically import your credit reports every 40 days for dispute tracking and progress monitoring. SmartCredit is an independent company with its own terms of service and privacy policies.

10. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the CCPA:

  • Right to Know: Request information about what personal information we have collected and why.
  • Right to Delete: Request deletion of your personal information.
  • Right to Opt-Out: Opt out of the sale of your personal information. We do not sell personal information.
  • Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights.

10A. CCPA Request Verification Process

To protect your privacy and security, we must verify your identity before processing CCPA requests. For requests to know specific pieces of personal information or deletion requests, we will verify your identity to a “reasonably high degree of certainty” by verifying at least three pieces of personal information. You may be required to submit a signed declaration under penalty of perjury.

10B. CCPA Response Timing

We will respond to verifiable consumer requests within 45 days of receipt. If we require more time (up to 90 days total), we will inform you in writing. For data portability requests, we will provide your information in CSV or JSON format.

10C. California “Shine the Light” Law

California's “Shine the Light” law (Civil Code Section §1798.83) permits California residents to request information about our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. To make such a request, email us at support@getcreditily.comwith “SHINE THE LIGHT REQUEST” in the subject line.

11. Children's Privacy

Creditily is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 18, we will delete it immediately.

12. Third-Party Links

Creditily may contain links to third-party websites, including credit monitoring services, financial product partners (SuperMoney affiliate offers), educational resources, and social media platforms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing them with personal information.

13. International Data Transfers

Creditily is based in the United States. If you are located outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using Creditily, you consent to this transfer and processing.

14. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to:

  • Remember your login and preferences
  • Analyze how you use Creditily
  • Improve our services and user experience
  • Track affiliate referrals and conversions

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Note: Disabling certain cookies may affect your ability to use some features of Creditily.

15. Do Not Track Signals

Some browsers have “Do Not Track” features. We do not currently respond to Do Not Track signals, but we provide you with opt-out options through your account settings and browser controls.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email, prominent notice on Creditily, or in-app notification. Your continued use of Creditily after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
